    Over the last several months, I have completed online training through AHIT, as well as their in person weekend seminar to become a home inspector in Tennessee. I have a background in home renovation/construction, as I have flipped and maintained rental properties with my father for the last several years. Becoming a jack of all trades, but master of none, I was able to fairly quickly pick up the specific points of knowledge that I lacked, and passed the NHIE in February of 2025. I received my license in early March, and am hoping to become a HITA member so that I can network and hopefully find someone to allow me to perform some inspections as ride-a-longs or a sort of apprenticeship for a time before really risking my neck and striking out on my own.

    Blaine Stewart founded Stewart Home Inspection in January 2004 in Knoxville, Tennessee and holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh. He holds a Master Inspector certification from the Home Inspectors of Tennessee (HITA), is certified by the American Home Inspector Training Institute (AHIT) and has served as the Secretary and Treasurer of HITA. Blaine is a member of International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI), Certified Pool and Spa Inspector and his Infrared (Thermal) Certification. Blaine is also certified in Mold by the University of Tennessee and received training and holds a certificate from the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI) in Radon.
